TAIPEI CHURCH PLEDGES TO HAITI NEWS
The Apostolic church of Taipei, Taiwan just pledged $45,000 to the relief effort in Haiti! About ten years ago, they experienced, first-hand, the devastation of an earthquake. Having suffered in the aftermath of an earthquake themselves, they and their congregations wanted to help the churches in Haiti.
When missionaries Gary and Sandra Edmonds heard about our work in Haiti, they were moved to get involved.

I am stirred and moved that missionaries overseas would contribute such a large, sacrificial offering. It should challenge us to give more of ourselves in the relief effort.

Last week, Pastor Lough flew to California to meet with a company that is DONATE the labor and materials to build a headquarters church in Haiti sometime in April. A team from the ALJC will be traveling to Haiti next week to finalize the details of purchasing property for the headquarters church.

It's exciting to be an integral part in the rebuilding effort in Haiti. I am so thankful to be part of a church whose vision is broader than just our local congregation.
